Special Accomplishments

  • Selected as Technical Director and Scenic Designer for the 2016 Illinois High School Theatre Festival All State production of Rent  

  • Coached Reavis High School’s state qualifying IHSA Group Interpretation Team

  • Expanded and built up Morton East High School Theatre and Jefferson Middle School Theatre from low engagement programs into functioning Theatre departments with hundreds of students and thousands of community members engaged and involved

  • Selected as one of ten theatre teachers from across the nation to participate in the  Masters in Directing program at Roosevelt University and completed the program in November of 2014 with my thesis production Frankenstein

  • Event Coordinator and Special Liaison to both Maestro Riccardo Muti and Deborah F. Rutter, President of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, for the CSO Community Concert in partnership with Morton East High School Theatre on September 18, 2013

  • Set manager on the ACT (Artists of Concordia) board at Concordia University

  • Organizer/Creator and Artistic Director for Concordia University fundraiser “Spring Sing” which raised $10,000 from alumni and community members

  • Adaptation of literature for performance (trained and studied with professionals from The Lookingglass Theatre Chicago)
